About This Project

1960s New York City saw the rise of a pre-disco music and dance form called Boogaloo, a fun flavorful fusion of salsa, soul, and R&B by the young, hip nuyourican community.

On May 4th, we brought Boogaloo BBQ to Dolores park, San Francisco, California for a pre 5 de Mayo celebration.

Salsa kids mixed with ReDisco kids for a lovely afternoon of dancing and yummy local food from Panchitas Pupuseria, our local Mission restaurant. Keeping it in the family 🙂
